Introduced to the Toltec path by the legendary don Miguel Ruiz Sr., author of The Four Agreements, and mentored by the dynamic Bernadette Vigil, author of The Mastery of Awareness, Liz honed her skills as an apprentice for 10 transformative years. In 1996, she was given permission to begin her groundbreaking journey as a teacher, evolving ever since.
Between 2002-2004, Liz earned her Teacher Certification Training under the tutelage of don Miguel Ruiz Sr., further solidifying her expertise. In 2004, she received the esteemed honour of leading Power Journeys to the mystical Teotihuacan, Mexico—the birthplace of the Toltecs.
As a visionary, Liz co-founded The Kiva of Salt Spring Island, an inspiring Toltec Centre that offered transformative classes, workshops, and ceremonies for over a decade. It was during her apprenticeship that she was introduced to the Cervantes family, an Indigenous Toltec family rooted in Teotihuacan for generations.
For over 20 years, don Valentin Cervantes and his family have embraced Liz, sharing their rich culture, sacred ceremonies, and profound love of their heritage. In a remarkable 2017 ceremony, Liz was bestowed the titles of “Mujer del Fuego” (Woman of FIre) and Ambassador of Teotihuacan.
